Start of 2007

So there have been some changes going on in the Sen household all geared towards cutting down monthly costs. Most of them have to do with internet/cable/satellite related services. For about two years I was with Comcast because they were the only high-speed provider in Lansing. Then about a month ago I got a knock on the door by an AT&T salesman who was letting me know that DSL was now in the area. In any respect, DSL is cheaper than cable internet, so I was interested right away. Since we have Dish satellite service, I could also combine that with AT&T. So long story short, here are my savings for 2007: By combining my Dish TV with AT&T and signing on for a 2-year agreement, I get a $34.95 credit for the first 12 months (total $419.40). By switching from cable to DSL, I get three months of internet free ($104.97 - I got the highest bandwidth service). And by signing on for one year for DSL, I got a month free ($34.99). Combined billing saves me another $4/month ($48). So let me count this all - $607.36. There you have it folks - the cost of a new baby is a little over six hundred dollars if you can afford it! Either way I looked at it, I couldn't walk away from those savings. So I am now one of those people who every 11 seconds switch back to the new AT&T. I want my world delivered.

I am eagerly waiting for my Windows Vista DVD to show up. Every couple of years I like to reformat my computer and install an operating system from scratch. What can I say... Some people like to hunt, I like to install OS'.

Tish at New Years. I volunteered to stay home so she could attend our friend's 40 birthday/New Year's Eve party

Good money savings. You could save even more money by cancelling your tv, phone, and internet and staring blankly at the wall all day. How much would you save then?

You may save money but you might lose your mind.

I can't believe you let Priya eat Wendy's! haha... just kidding. Sadly, whenever we pass a McDonalds Addy points and says, "Mommy! Eat! EAT EAT!!

don't most kids learn by example by what they see their parents doing? ;-)

bareback riding... well.. i'm not sure what the context of the question is, so i'll just answer.. by itself it means riding a horse without a saddle. for an example of priya doing it, see the previous post. in her case, it's a little bare of this, and a little bare of that. :-)

Woo hoo for at&t dsl! Sure beats the dial up we used to have. ;-)

Hmmm... I think hunting sounds more fun than installing a new operating system in my computer! LOL! Isn't it great that we are all so diverse. What would the world be like if we were all the same???
