A Consumer in the Making

I've been home all this week, which in itself is great! It's weird not to get up and go to work, and also not be at a "vacation." We decided it was about time to introduce Priya to her first theater experience. Here she is - at the movies!

We went to see Happy Feet. By itself, it was somewhat entertaining. But for a toddler - BO-OO-RING. The problem was that it was about penguins in Antarctica. Can you figure out the problem? Yep. It was mostly shades of black and white. So there wasn't any color besides that. But Priya did pretty well. She got a little restless towards the end, but all in all, it was a fun outing. Maybe Flushed Away would have been a better choice.

And now some more fall pics...

Ohmygoodness, I can just feel the biting Chicago wind now. Looking at those pictures makes me even colder than I am right now!

I wouldn't dare take Daniel to the cinema......we'd be chucked out pretty quick. He would sit there shouting 'lights lights lights mummy mummy daddy lights!'
It was colder here again today...in between the frequent bursts of rain. And I baked a Christmas cake.............

I liked both movies, Happy Feet and Flushed Away, although I enjoyed Happy Feet much more! Hopefully Priya's next movie experience will be a little more entertaining.

I can't get over how cute the shot is of Priya squatting down by the leaves!

Never thought of taking my camera to the movie theatre! :) My kids had their first theatre experience this year too. First Joshua and Fabio had a guys night out to see "Over the Hedge" and then we all went to see "Cars" at the cheap seats. Joshua does well, but Dominique got antsy too. ;)
Priya sure is a cutie!

I thought about taking Princess C to see happy feet. She is so in love with penguins. But she doesn't really watch anything other than Signing Time, so I figured it would be a waste of money. (Plus I heard bad things about it and I'm not too keen on Robin Williams anymore.)
Priya is such a doll and I can't believe how big she is!
